What People Are Saying
“‘Dripping in gold and adorned in home’, Timiro’s offering is an unapologetic celebration of Black womanhood beyond struggle and survival. Her writing drips with the nostalgic and moves with grace. This collection is F.U.B.U. It is of Us. It is an ode to the quiet revolution of becoming.”
— Titilope Sonuga (she/her), Poet Laureate, City of Edmonton
“ELELELELELELELELE! This is Timiro's time!! A beautiful and honest portrait of Black love(s), Somali love, squad love, self love, lasting love, almost impossible love. I was guided through the rituals that keep her and her people here on purpose. Somalinimo is present in the works musicality, fire, honesty and play. I'm so excited to celebrate how far these prayers travel and may they fill Timiro back up tenfold, ameen.”
— NASRA (they/them/we), inter-dimensional creator, author of A God Dance in Human Cloth
