PRAIRIE GIRL COLLECTIVE by Madison N. Taylor, Kayla McCutcheon, Danielle Richardson & Natahna Bargen-Lema

Like running away to the woods with a group of your closest friends, Prairie Girl Collective holds your hand, braids your hair, and whispers secrets through the evocative prose and poetry of Madison N. Taylor, Danielle Richardson, Kayla McCutcheon, and Natahna Bargen-Lema. Through the narrative themes of girlhood, sisterhood, motherhood, and womanhood, the authors draw on personal experiences to question what it means to have been, and to still remain, a prairie girl at heart.

Rich with imagery of both land and ordinary life, the collection deftly explores the contradiction and complexity of female experience and relationships as shaped by the prairies, regarding these shaping forces with a compelling mixture of tenderness and scrutiny.”

— J.S., Edmonton, AB

“A beautiful and moving tribute to the prairies and the sisterhood of women. This poignant collection brings with it the vastness of the land and living skies and addresses the full experience of being woman in this space. It is truly an inspired and inspiring work.”
